West Kildonan Seniors’ Recreation Club

At retirement our social circle tends to shrink. Health experts suggest that to maintain a healthy lifestyle it is important to remain socially, mentally and physically active. The West Kildonan Seniors’ Recreation Club provides this opportunity.

“A stranger is a friend we haven’t met yet.”

Our mandate is to provide our members with venues where they can get some exercise in a social and supportive atmosphere. Our activities include curling, lawn bowling and baseball.

Curling - With the closing of the West Kildonan Curling Club, we have moved our curling activities to the West St Paul Curling Club located just west of Main Street, one minute drive north of the Perimeter Highway. Throughout the season we curl on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Visit out Curling Page for more information.

Lawn Bowling - We lawn bowl at the St Johns Lawn Bowling Greens in St Johns Park at 1199 Main Street, from May  through  late in September (weather permitting). Visit our Lawn Bowling Page for more information.

Baseball - The Manitoba Classics 55+ Slo-Pitch League is a mixed slo-pitch softball group who get together to play, socialize, exercise the body, and continue their enjoyment of the game. Our league is open to women age 40 and older, and to men age 55 and over.
